Even this wily seller recognizes that and makes his main picture that of the signature rather than the view of the painting.
This could also be called "an entry level Harold".

Update: sold on May 6 for $ 756.00.
Thank you for your post. I just found out, and confirmed my Harold Newton is original. I think it's early by the original frame. I loved it the minute I found it and love it more now knowing the background of The Hiwayman.
